Our volunteer board stewards the mission of Daily Bread Fellowship — setting direction, safeguarding resources, and keeping us accountable to the neighbors we serve. They give their time freely, in service of a fed and welcomed community.

Daily Bread Fellowship is guided by three founding directors, who also serve as its officers. They give their time freely to steward the mission.

A founding director of Daily Bread Fellowship, Matthew serves as President and Board Chair — setting the ministry's direction and presiding over the board. Matthew helped start the fellowship to recover wholesome surplus food and share it, free of charge, with neighbors across Los Angeles.

Secretary

A founding director, Kevin serves as Secretary, keeping the board's minutes and records and helping the ministry stay organized and accountable to the neighbors it serves.

A founding director, Apple serves as Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer, overseeing the fellowship's finances and the faithful stewardship of every gift so that more of it reaches the table.

How the board works

Service, stewardship, accountability

  • Directors serve as volunteers and meet quarterly
  • The board sets mission direction and oversees finances
  • Members disclose conflicts of interest and act in good faith
  • We seek directors who reflect the community we serve

Directors serve two-year terms, and the board meets at least once each quarter.
